Paper piecing, walking foot quilting, simple quilt design, modern traditionalism
Do you have any quilting idols or people you turn to for inspiration?
Jacquie Gering, Victoria Findlay Wolfe, @pappersaxton, fellow guild members
What is your favorite style of fabric or favorite fabric collection?
I love Alison Glass's use of color. Zen Chic's low volume prints. Tula Pink's graphic design. Cotton and Steel. Canvas for bags.
What are your favorite notions and why?
Gutterman thread, a good seam ripper, applique scissors to cut a sharp point
Describe a quilted piece you're most proud of and why.
Single Helix - the practice piece using "Walk" by Jacquie Gering. It was awarded best in show by the Des Moines Guild for domestic quilting.
What's on your must-make list right now?
Another traditional paper pieced quilt using tiny piecing
What are some favorite non-quilting things you like?
Gardening, travel, being retired
